  ソメイヨシノ

  日本で最も一般的な桜はソメイヨシノである。北海道から九州まで広く分布している。花びらは5枚で、白に近い淡いピンク色をしている。

  SOMEIYOSHINO

  In Japan, the most common type of cherry blossoms are Somei-yoshino. They are widely distributed from Hokkaido to the Kyushu area. They have five petals and are a shade of pale pink very close to white.

  大島桜

  大島桜は桜の原種10種のひとつで、日本で最も有名な桜、ソメイヨシノの祖先である。東京都の伊豆大島に生育することからこの名がついた。この種を代表する古木は、国の特別天然記念物に指定されている。

  Ooshimazakura

  Oshima Cherry is one of the original 10 species of cherry trees and is the ancestor of the most famous cherry tree in Japan, Someiyoshino. It is named after the fact that they grow on the island of Izu-Oshima, Tokyo, and the old tree that represents the species has been designated as a Special Natural Monument of Japan.
  The Oshima cherry is characterized by the unfolding of its leaves almost simultaneously with flowering, and its pure white petals look great against the fresh greenery.

  八重紅しだれ桜

  江戸彼岸から発展したピンクから淡いピンクの八重咲きの枝垂れ桜で、ソメイヨシノと同時期か少し遅れて咲く。

  Yaebenishidare

  This variety is weeping cherry with pink to shallow pink double petal developed from Edo-higan (C. spachiana), blooms same time or a little later than Someiyoshino.

  八重桜

  花びらが5枚以上あり、とても華やかな桜だ。「遅咲きの桜」とも呼ばれ、例年4月下旬から5月上旬にかけて満開になる。

  Yaezakura

  Yaezakura(八重桜), which means multi-layered cherry blossom.It has more than five petals and is a very spectacular cherry blossom.Also known as “late-blooming cherry blossoms,” they are usually in full bloom from late April to early May.

  普賢象（普賢堂）

  この桜は、室町時代に作られた最古の佐藤桜のひとつで、別名「普賢堂」とも呼ばれる。「普賢象」の名は、花の姿（中央の2枚の緑の葉が外側に大きくカールしている）が「象の幹」に似ていることに由来する（普賢菩薩の聖者も象に乗っていた）。（大きな八重桜はピンクから白へと色を変え、とても美しい。）

  Fugenzou

  This is one of the oldest Sato Sakura types from Muromachi Period, also known as "Fugendo."
  The name "Fugenzou" comes from the look of the flower (two green leaves in the center make a big curl outward) which looks like "elephant's trunk." (Fugen Bosatsu Buddha saint also rode on an elephant.)
  The big double cherry blossoms are beautiful, whose color changes from pink to white.

  昼間の桜とはひと味違う、鮮やかな光と桜が織りなすロマンチックなひとときを感じていただけます。
  3月19日（水）～4月13日（日）までは、五反田ふれあい広場で 1日3回（18:00、19:00、20:00／各回10分程度のカラーライトアップも見ることができます。

  目黒川を愛するガイドスタッフは皆様に好評をいただいております。
  桜だけでなく、船から見る街並みの歴史や橋の由来などをご案内。時には、船長自らもガイドをすることもございます。

  橋の下通過はスリルもありアトラクション感覚で楽しめます。
  電車の高架下をくぐる時は迫力満点です！

  屋根のない船の魅力は何よりも開放感。天気の良い日は夕日や月の光に合わせて迫力ある桜を見ることができます。
